Here at Maser Condo Sales we are firm believers that Marina del Rey has something for EVERYONE!  Whether you are a retiree looking to downsize, or a new family looking for a accessible beaches.  Here is a list of some of our favorite things to do in Marina del Rey (not in order):

1) HInano’s on Washington Blvd.  This is one of the few remaining “dive” bars in Marina del Rey and Venice.  Not only do they pour cheap, stiff drinks, but they have one of the best burgers on the west side.  Secret tip:  the open early in the am and their breakfast burrito is a favorite of local surfers just getting out of the water.

2) Stand Up Paddleboarding.  The marina is a fantastic place for both beginners and those more experienced with SUP.  There are a number of vendors located at Mother’s Beach (northeast corner of the marina off Palawan and Admiralty Way), where you can rent all of the gear by the hour.  The marina is generally protected from onshore afternoon winds, so this is a great thing that you can do anytime, year-round.

3) Bike ride to Playa del Rey.  Many people don’t know but Marina del Rey connects to the South Bay via safe, accessible bike paths.  The route from Marina del Rey stretches along the protected Ballona Wetlands, so it’s a stunning trip.  Once you pull into Playa del Rey you are in one of the more exciting nightlife districts with great bars and restaurants like Playa Provisions or Bacari PDR.

4) Cocktails at sunset.  There are a number of fantastic places to grab a cocktail at sunset with a friend or date.  Our favorite is probably the Cast and Plow at The Ritz-Carlton.  The service is excellent and there’s always a great spot for watching the sun go down.

5) Sailing lessons.  A visit to Marina del Rey wouldn’t be complete without learning how to sail!  The marina is home to some of the most amazing vessels on the west coast, and there are a number of reliable outlets that offer one-day or long-term lessons and certification.  We recommend checking out the established LA Sailing.

Can you imagining living here?  We can!  There is something for everyone on the real estate spectrum in Marina del Rey – condos, townhomes, single family homes – so we encourage everyone to consider “MDR” when searching for your next neighborhood. Contact us today to see what properties are available in Marina del Rey!
