Playa del Rey is a seaside community in west Los Angeles county, that sits just south of Marina del Rey (and the Ballona Wetlands preserve) and just north of Los Angeles International Airport. Playa del Rey has a number of condo and townhome developments, and we consider it one of the better values in real estate in Los Angeles. Hands down the main selling point is that you are a five minute bike ride from the sand - just about anywhere in Playa del Rey. There are multiple pedestrian-friendly commercial zones, including where Culver Blvd. curves and meets the ocean. There’s a row of classic establishments (like Cantalini’s Salerno Beach Italian restaurant), and newer, chic places like Playa Provisions (owned by a Top Chef).
If you like sailing, you are adjacent to the largest personal vessel harbor in LA at Marina del Rey, and it takes five minutes to get to LAX (even during rush hour). Playa del Rey also has multiple open park spaces, and one of the most un-crowded stretches of beach in the county. We strongly recommend that buyers looking for a great property for under $1,000,000 consider Playa del Rey. Maser Condo Sales team member Michael Bobadilla lives in Playa del Rey, and is happy to answer questions about the neighborhood. Michael is available anytime at our office: (310) 314-7700.
